Lemonade Liberty Witt’s mama always told her: When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But Lem can’t possibly make lemonade out of her new life in Willow Creek, California— the Bigfoot Capital of the World—where she’s forced to live with a grandfather she’s never met after her mother passes away.
Mrs. H says:
If you have ever had to move you will relate to this book. City girl meets country. Lem has a way of making friends and adapting but this change is a little too much. Plus she misses her mother each and every moment. Living with her quiet, stoic grandfather is a bit hard. This is a period piece [summer of 1975], where sightings of Bigfoot were a big deal. Yes her only new friend Tobin is dedicated to getting evidence of Bigfoot's existance. Seriously, and Tobin is a serious guy. Luckily Lem can get a few laughs not too mention her love of Twinkies. This book has good pacing thoughtful slower events are countered with real adventures. Do you like camping? Can you run for your life?
