Summary:

Winnie’s last day of fourth grade ended with a pretty life-changing surprise. That was the day Winnie’s parents got divorced and decided that Winnie would live three days a week with each of them and spend Wednesdays by herself in a treehouse between their houses, to divide her time perfectly evenly. It was the day Winnie’s seed of frustration with her parents was planted, a seed that grew until it felt like it was as big as a tree itself.

This book I loved. Winnie is a winner, though she doesn't feel like it.  Lots of drama what with  parents that act like children and good friends who support her even though a 2 week plus sleepover can get old. Thank goodness for her Uncle who is all heart and teaches her to look at everybody and everything with an artistic eye.  All the kids are realistic and if you like that comic book [ graphic novel] feel there are lots of illustrations that need an extra look. Lisa Graff always writes books that feel true and special with lots of humour sprinkled throughout.
