· Student Arrival Time is 8:25 to 8:30 am
Please do not drop off your children prior to this time, as adult supervision is not provided prior to 8:25.
· Students Arriving Late
All students arriving late (after 8:40 a.m.) need to be signed in by an adult. Students are to be escorted into our vestibule area where a sign-in book is located. Once the student is signed in, please ring the intercom button and your child will be able to enter the school.
· Car Riders
Morning Drop Off
During the morning drop-off please try to maintain a single file line while dropping off your child(ren). If the car in front of you is going to be delayed then you may pull out to exit. But, normally the delay is short and we request patience. Also, please pull all the way up along the curb line. Stopping short causes cars to bunch up behind you and encourages cars to start driving around one another. When this happens our children and our drivers are at greater risk of an accident. As always, if you have a question please ask one of our staff members who are outside.
Afternoon Pick Up
All vehicles will check-in with staff prior to entering the pick-up area. Each vehicle will be given an assigned space to pick up their child(ren). All spaces are numbered from 1 to 8. When you are given your assigned number please drive to that space. Vehicles that drive to a different space creates a traffic issue. Please remember that the unassigned space that you pull into was given to someone else behind you. Now, there are 2 cars trying to get into the same spot. Please be courteous and go to your assigned spot.
Also, If you see the car directly in front of you leave you may pull up into that spot. This is the preferred method as it keeps vehicles from passing one another.
Our goal is to keep all of our children and all of our drivers safe from accidents. Please be patient and follow staff instructions. SAFETY FIRST!
PICK UPS, AFTER SCHOOL
· After School Clubs and Activities
All after-school clubs dismiss at our public entrance (nearest the gym). This includes pick-ups for student council meetings, yearbook committee meetings, and NJHS meetings, etc. Please pick your child up inside the gym lobby area. They will not be permitted to leave the building without an adult picking them up.
· Detention and After School Academic Assistance
Tuesday’s After School Assistance students and Wednesday’s Detention students are dismissed from the front lobby area.
PICK UPS, EARLY
· Pickup Patrol
We use a service called Pickup Patrol (pickuppatrol.net) as a notification service to communicate dismissal arrangements. If your child rides the bus each day, there is nothing you need to adjust. If you would like to pick up your child from school, please use the Pickup Patrol service or notify the Main Office. The daily deadline to change your child's dismissal arrangement is 2:00 pm.
