Mr. Romash’s Language Arts Classes

Come to class with everything that you need for class.  This includes homework (if applicable), pen or pencil and a notebook.  If you are unprepared for class three times, it will result in a teacher detetion.  A DO-NOW assignment will be written on the board everyday when you walk into class.  Be prepared to start working as soon as you enter.

You are expected to start on the do-now activity when the bell rings.  If the do-now involves writing, please make sure you put the date down in your notebook.

If you are absent, it is your responsibility to collect the work and finish it in a timely manner.  Here are some ideas that may help you:

·        Ask a friend who lives close to bring home worksheets or notes from class

·        The next day before class ask me and I will give you the work

                 ·     Check my website.  I will update homework on my website regularly

Language Arts is a class that requires participation.  We will be delivering speeches and working in groups frequently.  It is imperative that you work with a range of students in class and focus on your group skills.

  • Extra help is available every day before school starting at 7:15.  If you would like to come in to work on a paper, practice a speech, etc, please schedule a time and let me know at least one day in advance.

If you have questions pertaining to class, please feel free to contact me any time before school, after school, or whenever I am available during the school day.  If your parent or guardian needs to contact me, I am available at or by telephone at (908) 204-2610 extension 341. E-mail is the best way to contact me.
