This will be an exciting year as we continue to enjoy all that Memorial and the WNY School District has to offer.

REMEMBER, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MISSED WORK. (especially if you are excused for a field trip). MAKE SURE YOU ASK ME ABOUT MISSED QUIZZES OR TESTS SO YOU CAN MAKE THEM UP DURING NON-CLASS TIME. MISSING FUTURE CLASSTIME BY TAKING MAKEUPS IS NOT PRODUCTIVE AND ONLY LEADS TO MORE MISSED INSTRUCTION. IF YOU MISS ANY ANNOUNCED Quiz or Test YOU MUST TAKE IT THE VERY NEXT TIME YOU ARE IN CLASS.
Each marking period grade will have several tests and quizzes. Your grade will be based on those test and quiz grades. There will be other grades that contribute, your lab reports and oral presentations will also effect your grade. Please plan accordingly.
My Physics grading policy gives different weight to different assessments. A lab report is worth twice as much as a test and a test is worth three times the value of a quiz. An average marking period has 7 or 8 quizzes, 3 or 4 tests and 1 or 2 labs.
Work that is submitted late will be accepted HOWEVER, the highest grade it can obtain is a 70. That is the penalty for submitting it late. A perfect assignment submitted late will get a 70. We must all take responsibility for our actions and behaviors.
