Mission Statement :

To assist students with severe disabilities with gaining the skills necessary to have a productive personal, civic, and professional adult lifestyle.

Grade Placement : 18 to 21 yr old
 Students with Severe Disabilities

Pre-requites :
Graduate from High School School Program and Child Study team Recommendation

Instructor : Mr. Reyna-Carigga
                                       
Mr. Carigga is entering His 20th year in the West New York School District.  He is certified in Special Education by the state of New jersey.  Mr. Carigga is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University at Florham Park, NJ.  He currently resides In West New York, New Jersey where he is actively involved in the community.

Creative Pathways is very lucky to have 4 wonderful people who enjoy working with this special program day in and day out.  Without these four individuals Creative pathways would not be the extraordinary place it is today. 


Grading Policy : Creative Pathways uses Alternative grading for the assessment of students progress.  P (pass), I (improving), and F (fail) grades are used in place of regular grades A and B.  Typically, grades may reflect:

  • The relative quality of a student's work;
  • The student's readiness for future instruction;
  • The student's level of competence/skill mastery;
  • The student's effort and participation; and/or
  • The student's completion of class work and homework.
  • Current marking period goals (Feb. - June.)  During this marking period  Students will understand how to access and use community resources: post office, library, supermarket, retail stores, and bank, etc
