#6346 2D ART 5 CREDITS This studio course is an introduction to 2D art. Students will explore the elements and principles of design as they apply to 2-dimensional works of art. They will acquire experience with the use of a variety of art materials. They will learn to create their original works of art; such as drawings, paintings, and mixed media. They will also learn to appreciate and understand works of art created throughout history and cultural groups, using proper terminology and vocabulary.
#6260 DRAWING AND COMPOSITION 5 CREDITS The studio course focuses on drawing techniques, and how to apply them using; various media; including pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, and pastels. Composition, the arrangement of picture parts, is also studied through the principles of organization. The student will develop a portfolio of work by the end of the school year.
#6270 ADVANCED DRAWING AND COMPOSITION 5 CREDITS This studio course is designed for students who have completed drawing and composition. Students will have an intensive exposure to the importance of drawing as the basic tool for rendering visual perception and communication. Students will have intensive exposure to the concepts of drawing in a studio setting.
#6345 3D ART 5 CREDITS This studio course is an introduction to 3-dimensional art, students will explore the elements and principles of design as they apply to 3D works of art. They will acquire experience with the use of a variety of art materials such as cardboard, clay, wood, plaster, and more. They will learn to create their original works of art (sculptures and craft objects). They will also learn to appreciate and understand works of art created throughout history and cultural groups, using proper terminology and vocabulary.
