Grading Scale and Format: 

A=100-90                                              

Quizzes=25%

B=89-80 Homework=15%
C=79-70 Math Literacy=10%
D=69-60 Tests=50%
F=59-0  

                  

 

 

  • Tests/Quizzes–Chapter tests, will be given throughout the year.  Quizzes will be given as needed to check students grasp of the concept before a test.

 

  • Homework - Homework will be given on Tuesdays and Thursdys and all answers to are to be completed in pencil.  NO credit will be given for answers without work. Late homework will be accepted for half credit until the end of the current quuarter (district policy for absence does not apply).

  

  • Math Literacy We will complete various reading activities and review of math standards through bell work and classwork.  (i.e. math magazines, real-world applications, word problems, vocabulary, notebook checks, etc.)

 

Expectations

  1. Be on time.   

  2. Be prepared for class.  Students will need their supplies every day in class.  Make sure to always have your Chromebook and have it charged for class.

  3. Be polite.  Treat teachers and classmates like you would want to be treated.  Students should raise their hand and wait to be recognized to speak.  Do not call out answers unless you have been recognized and asked to do so by the teacher.  The bell doesn't dismiss you the teacher does.

  4. Be prompt.  Homework and other assignments should be completed on time. If absent, students need to check my website and ask the teacher for any missing assignments.

  5. Be advised.  Gum, candy, and other food/drink are not allowed in class according to school policy.
