It's hard to believe the 2020/2021 school year is already here! This is my 13th year to have the pleasure of teaching at Jewel M. Sumner Middle School. I am currently teaching in the self-contained special education setting.
I graduated from Tylertown High School and the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science degree in special education (mild/moderate 1-12). I obtained my Master's Degree from Arkansas State University (Educational Leadership). I began my teaching career in Washington Parish where I taught for two years before moving to Tangipahoa Parish. This is my 20th year here. I taught for seven years at Chesbrough Elementary, and this is my thirteenth year at Jewel Sumner Middle School.
I am a wife and a mom of three boys. I also have one grandson. My hobbies include cooking, traveling, camping and being outdoors with my family.
