Dear Parents,
Welcome to Kentwood Junior High School. I am Marilyn L. Owens, your child's 7th and 8th grade math teacher. As you may know, Math is a challenge to most of our students; however, with your support, we can meet the challenge and our goals to have a successful school year. If your child is in the seventh and eight grade, he/she must pass LEAP2025 test in order to be promoted. I encourage you to use all available resources to help your child develop the necessary skills to pass math. As parents, it is important that you monitor your child's homework, attendance, daily activities and grades. I implore you to utilize the Parent Command Center at www.tangischools.org as a means of keeping up with your child's progress. If you want to conference with me personally, please feel free to contact me during my planning hours (9:03 -10:53 p.m) or schedule an appointment with the main office.
