Course Overview

ELA 10: This English class is designed to help you develop skills that you will need in order to succeed in college and the real world.  Every assignment and activity is directly related to that goal.  The course will deal with many areas of English language and American literature including reading, writing for various purposes, vocabulary study and research.  Assessment of these skills will be based on evaluative methods such as class discussions, learning logs, journal entries, tests, essays, group work, presentations, and projects.

AP Literature and Composition:  This English class is designed to give students the confidence to sit for the AP test in May.  We read and write every day with this task in mind, and we also complete the Senior Project.
