Dear Parents and Scholars,

Welcome to the adapted physical education page! This year we will be focusing on manipualtive, locomotor, and balance skills, both in individual practice and during game play. I look forward to seeing your progress.

Warm-up activities include stretching, jumping jacks, jogging in place, arm circles forward and backward, windmills, balancing on one foot, and other such skills that can be performed in place.

Locomotor skills include running, jumping forward, skipping, galloping, sliding, and other movements that move your child from point A to point B.

Manipulative skills include playing catch with a partner, kicking a ball, dribbling in place or while moving forward, throwing to a target, shooting a basketball, and practicing any other skills that involve manipulating items with the hands or feet.
