Welcome to 3rd grade!  It's going to be a great year!!  We will learn lots of reading and writing skills through our Wit and Wisdom curriculum.  Social Studies lessons will be taught using the Bayou Bridges curriculum.  Our United States history curriculum will begin with the U.S. founding fathers.  I am looking forward to teaching each and every one of you!

Attendance: According to our Pupil Progression Plan, students may miss no more than 10 days to be eligible for promotion.
Please send a Dojo message letting us know if your child will be absent. 
 
Grades: Students will be graded on various assessments during the marking period.  These are classified as formative (40%) or summative (60%).
 
Yellow Graded Paper Folders:
Graded paper folders are sent home on Wednesdays.  They must be returned signed by Friday.  Not returning it by Friday will result in the loss of a “Prepared” CAM Point.  Please take the time to go over the papers with your child.  If there is a question about a grade, please message us so we can check over the grade in question when the folder is returned. 
 
Homework: While homework is not graded, students should complete homework assigned to strengthen skills learned during the instructional day.  Incomplete homework will result in the loss of a CAM point and student having to complete it during recess at Fix and Finish.
