Dear Friends,

Hello and welcome to first grade!  I am very excited to be your teacher this year!  I hope you had a great summer and had many fun and exciting adventures.  My summer was wonderful! I visited Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to watch my girls play softball in the Triple Crown Sports East Coast Summer Nationals.  We’ve also spent some time relaxing on Long Beach Island, our favorite place to spend time together. Claire is 16 and going into 11th grade.  Gracie is 13 and going into 8th grade.  We also have two Labrador Retrievers named Walter and Stella.

We are going to have a terrific year together!  We will be reading books, writing stories, learning new math games, as well as participating in many other interesting and exciting activities.  I hope you will love first grade as much as I do!
