What is 8th Grade Language Arts?

Eighth grade Language Arts focuses on the various methods of communicating.  Throughout the year students will study speech, drama, journalism, and poetry, while emphasizing critical reading, strong writing,  speaking, viewing, listening, and critical thinking.  Many of the tools and skills you learn and practice in Language Arts will be used throughout your other courses at Annin and as you further your education.

"I hope it will be said we taught them to stand tall & proud, even in the face of history & the future was made new & whole for us all, one child at a time.”-Brian Andreas

Student work and other classroom artifacts not returned to students during the school year (such as tests, quizzes, essays and art projects) may be disposed of by the District after September 15th of the following school year, subject to reasonable attempts to obtain parent or adult student consent.”
