 Help Wanted

· Please remember to check and sign your child’s agenda each night. Your child should be placing a check by items that were completed in class and then circling items that need to be finished or done for homework.

· Please join PTA if you have not done so yet.

 

  

  

 

 

 

 

· Please sign and return your child’s field trip permission form, along with donations as soon as possible. If we do not have enough funds, we will have to cancel. We have received money from 21 students. Thank you!

· Please send in any classroom donations, such as: tissues, hand soap, Clorox wipes, Skittles, and items for our school store. Thank you in advance!

· Homework Policy: No Homework = No Recess

· The last day of grades for the 2nd marking period is Wednesday, January 14.

· Daily Editing/ DOL (Daily Oral Language) - We will be focusing on adjectives this week. The assessment will be on Friday.

· Writing Workshop

· We will read Scruffy this week. The test will be on Thursday.

· Vocabulary: affection, climate, clinging, methods, threat, injury

· Students will be assigned a weekly reading goal that will be tied in with our Accelerated Reader program. All students need to earn at least three AR points by Thursday. This is a reading homework assignment that is ongoing. Your child should be reading at least twenty minutes each night.

 This week we will continue our division unit this week. Your child will have a nightly division/multiplication practice sheet until all of the fact practice tests are completed (98% +). Please, please, please practice your facts each night!
