Incoming Freshmen of 2016-2017 AND after-

Must begin high school enrolled in the University Diploma.

At the end of the sophmore year and prior to the beginnng of the senior year, students may opt out of this diploma for the Jumpstart Diploma. By opting out of the University Diploma students will be unable to have the courses required to attend many of the post-secondary institutions.

Students also have  the opportunity to have an endorsement before graduation. They can choose from a Career/Technical Endorsement (ACT of 20 w/ 2.5 gpa) or an Academic Endorsement(ACT of 23 w/ 2.5 gpa).

Students missing more than 5 unexcused days per semester could fail the class and have to retake it. Credits are necessary for class promotion.

 

For a student to classified as a

sophomore he/she will have to have 5 credits,

to be classified as a junior 11 credits,

and a senior 17 credits for a total of 24 to graduate.

  

Any student who has entered high school in 2014 or beyond will have the choice of the Jumpstart Diploma. See attachment: 9-11th High School.pptx
