To be a Honors student, student will have to keep an A/B average to remain on the Honor track.Honor students will stay on the Core 4 track, so that they will be able to go to a university after graduation.

 

To take College Algebra and Calculus students will have to have scored a 19 in math on the ACT and have a composite of an 18.

To take College English 101 students will have to score an 18 on the ACT in English and have an ACT composite of an 18.

 

For a student to be an Honor graduate, he/ she will have to have the following:

      Magna Cum Laude- 3.5-3.74 cum. gpa

      Summa Cum Laude- 3.75-4.0 cum. gpa

 

For  a student to graduate w/Academic Endorsements he/she must maintain a 2.5 cum. gpa, have a 23 on the ACT, complete the Core 4 curriculum,obtain three hours of college credit, and take Physics, Calculus, or Biology II.

 

For a student to graduate w/ Technical Endorsements he/she must maintain a 2.5 cum. gpa, have a 20 on the ACT, complete the Core 4 curriculum, have an IBC or three hours of college credit, and do 90 hours of work-based learning or complete a senior project. 

 

In order for a student to qualify for TOPS which pays for a four- year university he/she must have a 2.5 cum. gpa(which is not rounded up) and at least a 20 on the ACT. Southeastern University offers a Honors Scholarship for students who score a ACT of a 23 or above. Seniors should start applying for this at the beginning of their second semester. Other colleges offer these type of scholarships as well and your student needs to investigate the college to see if he/she qualifies.

 

  AP Classes will be on a 5pt. grading scale for the Livingston Parish School System Grade Point Average.

Para un estudiante en graduarse Avales Técnicos / n el / ella debe mantener un cum 2.5 . gpa , tienen un 20 en el examen ACT , completar el currículo Core 4 , tienen una IBC o tres horas de crédito universitario , y hacer 90 horas de formación en el trabajo , o completar un proyecto .
