Welcome to 8th grade Math

My name is Mrs.Gemma Miller and I will be teaching Math to  all sections of the 8th grade.  In the math course, students will review skills taught in 7th grade the first week or two, which are needed in order to be successful in 8th grade. 8th grade skills that will be taught are geared towards what they will need in order to be pepared for Algebra 1 in their freshman year. Students were given math books , which will be used in class, and Fluency books, which they will use for homework.  It is important that students complete homework assignments in order to retain skills learned and new skills being taught.  Homework will be checked for accuracy.  I ask that all work is shown/explained both algebraically and in word form.

 3/29/25 to 4/2/25  UPDATE:  Students will test Thursday on Review skills(100 pta) 4 types of Transformations/NOTES TO STUDY HAVE BEEN GIVEN.

Students were given reference sheets for the week's skills to be put into the INB(Interactive Notebooks).  These are definitions and examples of problems and the steps to follow .  I run them off in colored paper so that they are easily identified.
