to the 2025-26 school year.  My name is Erin Boenig and I am a Basile High and UL graduate.  This will be my twenty-sixth year of teaching in Evangeline Parish and I love my job.  First grade is a very important year for your child.  They will be learning to read.  You will be amazed at how much your little ones learn this year and I will strive to teach them as much as I can.  I need your help as well.  Please send your child to school every day, unless they are sick of course, because every day is a new lesson.  Also, check your child's folder(s) and review classwork, homework, and read with them every night.
