" Every child deserves a champion: an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists they become the best they possibly can be." Rita Pierson, Educator
Dear Parents/Guardians/Students,
We officially have 4 days until Christmas Break! We will have our Christmas Party December 17 after lunch. Students are welcome to bring treats for a class of 26. We will also play the Santa left/right game. If they would like to wrap up a special candy or make a bag of candy they can do so. They just need to bring an unmarked gift.
I want to wish all of you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a joyous New YEAR!
As a reminder, it is extremely important that students review assignments in their planner nightly. We are helping to shape young adults. By doing so, this will require the students to take on more responsibility.
Moving forward here are some important policies and procedures:
- Please understand that students planners are extremely important. It is a snap shot of what they are expected to complete nightly and dates of tests. Students will also have homework that is grade periodically. However, they are often given time at school to start their homework and know that this homework is short. I do not believe in hours of lengthy homework. But, I do believe students need an opportunity to work independently on assignments. Please know I have every child's best interest at heart. I want them to be successful this year!!!
- Students will receive calendars, fliers, and other important information. Please check with your child nightly for any important information that may be sent home or check their planner.
- If your child misses school, please have them check their google classroom for daily assignments or call a friend.
- You can reach me during my planning which is 10-11a.m Tuesday-Friday. I can be reached by calling the school or emailing me at [email protected]
- Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.
Again, I look forward to a great year!
Sincerely,
Ms. Jessica Reed

*12 days of Christmas has begun. Calendars were sent home. Leggings and torn/ripped jeans are not allowed on dressup days.
**We will have our Christmas Party December 17. Students can bring a treat. Also, we will play the left/right game.
