CLASSROOM PROCEDURES
MRS. KILGORE -- ROOM 104 

1.  BEFORE ENTERING THE CLASSROOM
a.  Take care of personal needs (restroom, water)
b.  Have ID visible and on lanyard
c.  Have planner available
d.  Be in complete uniform
e.  Have all supplies required-bring binder daily

2.  ENTERING THE CLASSROOM
a.  Pick up your disk--do not touch other disks--report to assigned seat
b.  Immediately sit in assigned seat – do not block doorway or aisles
c.  Put all belongings under your desk--the top of your desk is to remain clear at all times
d.  Sharpen pencil quickly if needed
e.  Log on to SynchronEyes--with # and correct 1st name (no nicknames or slang) Initial Caps
f.  Begin working immediately on assignment (on board)

3.  DURING CHANNEL ONE AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
a.  Absolutely no talking
b.  Computers are off limits at this time
c.  Pay attention to Channel One (other work or letter writing is not permitted)

4.  ENTERING TARDY
a.  If bell has rung and the door is shut, repectfully find hall monitor to escort you to class or get tardy from office
b.  Quietly sit in your assigned seat - tardies will be recorded by person who escorts you to class

5.  EXCHANGING PAPERS
a.  Do not get out of seat.
b.  Quietly pass papers to the person across from you
c.  Write your name on the bottom of the paper
d.  Last person on row, pass paper up to the first person

6.  ASKING OR ANSWERING QUESTIONS
a.  Raise hand to get recognized or
b.  Key in question from SynchronEyes

7.  FINISHING TESTS/ASSIGNMENTS EARLY
a.  Turn in paper or work
b.  Complete any unfinished assignments
c.  Practice timed writings through MicroType Pro or MicroPace

8.  MAKING UP TESTS/ASSIGNMENTS
a.  Bring excused absence form within three days
b.  Schedule time for makeup work/tests--this is your responsibility not the teachers
c.
  Make-up work is to be completed on your time not during regular class time
d.  You will not be given extra time in class to catch up--you must continue to participate in class

9.  RETURNING PAPERS
a.  Upon receiving paper, record grade in designated area in planner
b.  Look over paper; raise hand if you have any questions
c.  Do not ask for grades or averages at later date

10.  EXITING ROOM DURING CLASS TIME
a.  Ask permission (even when called from front office)
b.  If permission granted, fill in planner information except for teacher's initials
c.  Bring planner to teacher

11.  BEFORE FINAL BELL RINGS
a.  If you have a disk, remove it from the computer and put it in the proper place-disks never leave the class
b.  Logout of the computer correctly
c.  Clean up your work area by removing all trash from inside desk and top of desk
d.  Turn in all work required for that day

12.  EXITING THE ROOM AFTER THE BELL
a.  Sit in desk until bell actually rings
b.  Push your chair in place before leaving
c.  Dispose of all trash properly
d.  Walk (do not run)

*   DO NOT create a New User in any program unless directed to do so
** DO NOT change any settings on the computers unless instructed to do so--including font & color
