Business Education
I am pleased to be teaching in a field that I feel is so "real world" relevant. The skills that students receive while taking business courses are skills that will help make life easier as adults. In this technology driven age it is important for students to gain as much knowledge as possible about computers and business.
Introduction to Business Computer Applications(IBCA)--Students learn how to type correctly using the keyboard, how the computer operates, how to navigate in computer software, how to use e-mail and computer ethics, and how to choose a career that will make them happy. Students are given the opportunity to take the Microsoft Office Power Point certification test offering concrete skills to list on a resume for job purposes. Business Computer Applications(BCA)--Students will continue to grow in computer software knowledge by adding certifications to their skill list. In this course students will be given an opportunity to earn a specialist certification in all Microsoft Office Applications not achieved in IBCA such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Every certification earned is a stepping stone to a getting a job and starting a lucrative career.
Principles of Business--Students learn about making good economic decisions and how these decisions will affect their financial future. They are also introduced to the different financial instruments that are availble to help them manage their money. Different financial documents are introduced to show how they can aid in financial planning. The class then focuses on how to run small businesses and how to maintain personal finances.

I strive to be the best teacher I can be by being fair and honest. I truly want to pass my knowledge onto the students so that they can make a smooth transition to adulthood. My door is always open to parents and students for educational purposes or for personal problems.
