Welcome to the library! 

   I am Jennifer Wirtz, and I will be teaching your child all about the amazing things the library has to offer.  I am very excited to share this school year with you and your child.  I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know your children as the school year progresses.

   It is my hope that by introducing students to a variety of books and authors each student will develop a love of reading. I believe this can be achieved by cultivating a love for learning in an environment that is both challenging and fun! In order to encourage students to read, students will be participating in the Million Word Challenge. I will be encouraging each child to set goals throughout the school year in order to read a million words by the end of the year. Those meeting their goals will earn prizes and rewards.  

   Students will be allowed to check out two books at a time from the library. Each book may be checked out for two weeks. Students will be responsible for any lost or damaged books.  

   All students are expected to follow school-wide rules and expectations. Please refer to the student handbook for information on school-wide consequences.
