Welcome to 6th Grade Math! In this class, students will build a strong foundation in mathematical thinking through problem-solving, reasoning, and collaboration. Our curriculum follows the Eureka Math² (Eureka Squared) program, designed to deepen understanding of math concepts through real-world application and academic rigor.
- Ratios, Rates, and Percents
- Arithmetic Operations including division fractions
- Rational Numbers
- Expressions and One- Step Equations
- Area, Surface Area, and Volume
- Statistics
We use a blended structure that includes:
- Whole group lessons using Eureka Math²
- Small group rotations for targeted instruction
- Hands-on activities, fluency games, and digital tasks
- Math journaling and discussion-based learning
Students rotate through 4 stations:
- Teacher Table – Guided practice and reteaching
- Tech Time – Digital practice aligned to the day’s lesson
- Task Cards – Independent or partner problem-solving
- Fluency Station – Games and activities to build speed and accuracy
