Illness
It can sometimes be difficult to determine if your child needs to stay home from school. Here are some helpful guidelines:

Fever |
Temperature of 100.4 or higher |
Fever free without medication for 24 hours |
Vomiting |
Within the past 24 hours |
Free from vomiting for 2 solid meals |
Diarrhea |
Within the past 24 hours |
Free from diarrhea at least 24 hours |
Rash |
Body rash with fever |
Free from rash. I have been evaluated by a doctor, if needed |
Eye Infection |
Redness, itching and/or “crusty” drainage from eye |
Evaluated by a doctor and released to return to school |
Strep Throat |
Sore throat, fever |
On antibiotics for 24 hours |
