Hello and welcome to Mr. Ventura's website. The subjects that I will be covering this year will be United States History 1 and World History!

US History 1

This course presents a cohesive and comprehensive overview of the history of the United States, surveying the major events and turning points of U.S. history as it moves from the Era of Exploration through modern times. As students examine each era of history, they will analyze primary sources and carefully research events to gain a clearer understanding of the factors that have shaped U.S. history.

World History

The course will focus on the State standards for ninth grade Social Studies. All students will acquire the knowledge and skills to think analytically about how past interactions of people, cultures, and the environment affect issues across time and cultures.  The course will prepare students for making informed decisions as socially/ethically responsible world citizens in the 21st century.
