Hello!
My name is Vanessa Esteves and I am so excited to start teaching in HIllside this year. This will be my 7th year teaching, however my first year with this district. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to teach 3rd grade this year (because it is my absolute favorite grade to teach)
I have my Masters in Elementary Education from New Jersey City University.
I also am a certified in yoga with a specialization in children/teen yoga. I tell you this because I like to include mindfulness practices in the classroom and give students positive coping strategies to help them deal with any stress they may face in their fday to day lives that will last them a liifetime.
I am looking forward to a positive year where respect is shown in the classroom daily and high expectaions are held for all students.
