My name is Miss Sinisi and I am a Special Education Resource Teacher for grades 1st, 5th and 6th grade. I have a Bachelors degree in Spanish and Elementary Education K-6 and a Masters in Special Education K-12. I teach 1st, 5th and 6th grade Language Arts (Reading and Writing). In addition, I provide Math consultation for 1st grade and 5th grade using a pull out model within the Resource classrooom, as well as teach Math skills replacement for 5th grade to reinforce foundational Math skills.
My outlook on teaching is all students can develop a love of learning if they are provided engaging instruction, an encouraging classroom community is created, involving students in the learning process, and believing in each student. Learning should go beyond the classroom. I find it essential to incorporate life lessons into the instruction and for families to be apart of their children's academic and social growth.
Students, it is ok to make mistakes and take chances in life. There will be many character defining moments in your life that will make you reflect! When you are faced with these moments, listen to your intuition, do the next right thing and if you don't, learn from your experiences. I hope you find your purpose in life. Finally, be kind and respect one another!
