Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to Gifted Enrichment in St. Martin Parish! I am so excited to reconnect with your children for the 2023-2024 school year. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself, and share some key information about our program.

I graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Middle School Education with emphasis in Math/Science and a Minor in History. I also earned a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instructions with emphasis in Gifted Education from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in May 2020. This will be my 9th year of teaching and my 6th year teaching gifted students. I will be working with your child once a week at their school in a small group setting to extend the depth and complexity of their learning experiences. They will have opportunities to challenge themselves through interest-driven projects and learning experiences that go beyond the scope of their grade-level curriculum. In addition, I will be communicating with their regular classroom teachers to ensure that their needs continue to be met throughout their school day.

As we begin/continue this journey together, I hope that we can be partners in providing the best possible education for your child. I am driven by the overall well-being of my students, and will always be their advocate and ally. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at any time. I service students at five different schools, so I will usually respond quickest via email or Remind. I am looking forward to a wonderful year with you and your children.

Sincerely,
Christina A. Cox, M.Ed.
