Welcome to 5th Grade!
My name is Ashley Day and I will be your student’s English Language Arts teacher for the 22/23 school year! I am looking forward to an exciting and productive year full of growth.
Guardian/Teacher partnership is imperative in providing the best learning experience for each child, and communication is KEY! The most efficient and immediate way to contact me is through the Class Dojo app. I am also available by email, [email protected], or by calling the school.
We are a 21st century classroom that will be using various online platforms to attain and exceed our ELA goals! Your student's Google Classroom will be the hotspot for finding the most up to date information as well as previous information that may have been missed. I will provide the links to various websites throughout the year on here as well.
The use of these online tools will not entirely replace the "old school" way of learning, but complement the tried and true method of putting pencil to paper. Your child will routinely complete in-person written assignments that will be sent home weekly to be signed and returned.
