Greetings Students & Parents/Guardians:
My name is Mr. Komack and this will be my third year within the Egg Harbor Township School District at Fernwood Middle School. I am looking forward to be educating and working with the 8th Grade Class of 2023 this school year!
I am a fairly new teacher; I graduated from Stockton University in Spring 2019 where I completed my student teaching at Atlantic County Institute of Technology. Post graduation, I moved back to Freehold, New Jersey where I was raised and accepted a 7th Grade Social Studies Long Term Substitute position within the Hamilton Township School District, outside of Trenton. That position ended in November and then I moved back down to South Jersey where I began a position mid year at Oakcrest High School in February 2020. Then the unimaginable happened and schools nationwide shut its doors due to COVID-19. During that time, I learned the skills needed to ensure students were intellectually challenged as well as emotionally supported.
I recently finished my Masters Degree in Special Education online at Grand Canyon University, based in Phoenix, Arizona, to expand my teaching capabilities to all students in my classroom. Some of my passions outside of teaching include travelling, learning about different cultures, being around family and friends, and plenty of outdoor activities.
I am looking forward to meeting you this year. I am very excited to be continuing my professional experience within Egg Harbor Township and to deliver high quality content and instruction for the students.
