About Me

Hello! My name is Ms. Noto and this is my fifth year at Independence High this year! I am a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University in social studies education. I have a great passion for teaching students about skills that they need to succeed during school and after graduation.

About My Classes

Study Skills:

Students will have weekly assignments

It is important to check JCampus and email regularly to keep up with assignments and to ask your teachers for your work if you are planning to be absent.

World History:

In this class, students become historians and learn about world events starting with the Renaissance and ending with the modern age if time allows for it. Students will have a total of seven units and after each unit, they will have a unit test. There will also be quizzes and projects that they will be required to complete to do well in this class. History is important to learn and understand because it gives us a framework and understanding of our modern-day world. Students need to use their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills from the toolbox that they have been developing since they started school. This is a really fun class, but students do have to study and read outside of the classroom. There is always content that I cannot possibly cover in this class because the history of our world is vast. So I encourage you to study and ask questions!

E2020
Students work on the assigned courses that they need to complete to obtain their high school credits to graduate. Students need to show progression every two weeks during weekly check-ins.
