Welcome to Fourth Grade!
Hi! I'm Ms. Katz and I am very excited to be working with your children this upcoming school year! :)
This will be an exciting year for your fourth grader! This is the year that your child will be expected to demonstrate independence and responsibility for his/her learning and actions.
In the classroom, your child will be required to demonstrate their knowledge and learning independently after practicing the skills with the teacher in small groups and hands on lessons. It is here that they will learn to use time wisely to complete assigned work yet take the time to be proud of the finished product.
Behavior and character education will also be a major aspect of fourth grade. Your child will participate in a variety of behavior activities that will help to influence the choices that he/she makes both in and out of school. Your child will be held responsible for making good choices in following school rules and in the treatment of others.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. Together we can help your child achieve all of his/her goals for this year and hopefully have a lot of fun at the same time!
