Hello Burch Familes! I hope you are all enjoying this Winter Season. We ended January with our Tier 2, Tier 3 students returning for Hybrid Instruction. It has been exciting to see our classrooms come back to life with students.

Recently, news outlets reported on a study which concluded that schools are generally safe places during the pandemic so long as masking and social distancing are adhered to. This reinforces exactly what we have been doing. We have been and continue to be committed to maintaining a safe environment for our students and staff. Our staff and students are masked, and our classrooms are distanced at six feet. Of course, we all look forward to the warmer weather,  and more daylight with the strong hope of continuing on our journey towards being together more, in person, as we move towards Spring.

As a school we will be focusing on improving our reading and writing skills across all subjects through the incorporation of the R.A.C.E. strategy. Please continue to encourage your scholar's to write responses using the strategy below.

                                LITERACY TIPS FOR FAMILIES

                             Carson Dellosa Clip Art -

Read, Read, READ! Read anything and read every day! Read cereal boxes, books, doesn’t matter, it all helps to support your child’s reading development.

READ BOOKS! You can never read too many books. Read together. Read alone, quietly. Read aloud over snacks. Read outside. Read everywhere! Read it, Again! It’s okay if your child asks you to read the same book three nights in a row. It means they are enjoying it and they are developing a love of reading. Each time they hear it, they understand the story better and learn vocabulary.
