Who is Mr. Josh? I grew up in Yazoo City, Mississippi, and I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architectural Engineering Technology from the University of Southern Mississippi. I have been in the commercial and residential field of architecture since before I graduated college. Recently I was reading about Fred Rogers and his story inspired me. My mother, who is a retired teacher from the Yazoo City Public School System, often brought her work home... emotionally. I never fully understood this until my wife and I adopted our 3 girls in 2019. My girls' struggle to grow and learn shows itself in many ways. Though sometimes I do not know and will never fully understand what is going on in their minds, I see it takes more than a surface approach to help them. As I began the process of teaching I have come home with the same heartfelt concerns for these students who may be having a hard time. I hope to be a teacher that will see the potential of every student I teach and help cultivate and nuture their growth so they can become who they are meant to be; a smart, capable student that can and will acheive their potential, respect themselves, others and their environment.
I love to read. I love to draw. I love music. I love creative projects.
