I am one of two Speech-Language Pathologists (Fancy words for Speech Therapist) at Hammond Westside Montessori School. I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with my Bachelor of Music Education degree in 2005 and Master of Science degree in 2017. I am a US Navy Veteran and served as a musician in the Navy from 2006-2015.
As a Speech Therapist, I believe everyone deserves a voice, and communication is a human right. Therefore it is my mission to help all my students communicate as effectively as possible to help them meet their academic and personal goals.
I strive to make all of my therapy sessions productive but also enjoyable to attend. Current evidence suggests that children learn speech and language through play and naturalistic environments. Therefore, my sessions attempt to mirror the most natural and conducive environment to play as possible.
