Hi, my name is Jamie Belvin. I am your child's 1st grade English teacher at Woodland Park Magnet School. This year makes my 5th year teaching and second year at WPM. I am excited to have your child in my class.
My goal as your child's teacher is to build a good foundation by first building a relationship with your child. I feel it is important to first build a relationship and gain their trust then the academic portion will follow.
In my classroom, I strive to create a loving, safe, fun environment for my students to learn. I believe when a child feels loved, safe, and in a fun environment they learn best. I am the type of teacher that will put a "Just Dance" video on for a brain break and dance it out with my students. I believe laughter is good for the soul.
As your child's teacher, I will give my very best to help your child be successful this school year. I will be their biggest supporter and their voice when I need to be. I promise to love and protect your child as though they were my own.
