Meet the Teacher Mrs. Schmidt

Dear families,
Hello! My name is Mrs. Schmidt I will be your child's first teacher along their educational journey in East Rutherford's school system and I could not be more excited! Working with this age group is my absolute favorite. I look forward to getting to know your child and engaging them in all the curriculum studies throughout the year. 

 

About me…
I am a graduate of Felician University and have my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Teacher of Students with Disabilities. I also work in Early Intervention as a therapist outside of my job here in East Rutherford. 

 

I have several years experience in preschool in addition to doing my full time student teaching right here in East Rutherford (2018-2019).

Before Felician I studied musical theater in NYC.
I love the arts and will be sure to incorporate
that into the class throughout the year.

We will be working with the Creative
Curriculum. This Curriculum focuses on learning through hands on experiences. I love this program and cannot wait for your children to experience and discover all it has to offer.

 
When I am not in the classroom I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, and son, crafting, and baking.
