Greetings Students, Families, and Friends

My name is Ms. Wormald and I will be your music teacher!  I am incredibly excited to have you all as my students.  I grew up in Wayne, NJ and I am a graduate from William Paterson University where I studied Music Education with a concentration in Clarinet Performance.  I was the Clarinet Studio Section Leader for all four years of my college career.  With this honor I was able to perform in many different orchestras and ensembles across the state.  I was also appointed as Assistant Conductor for the Chamber Singers ensemble which toured Europe in 2018.  I started my musical career at the early age of 3 years old playing piano.  I expanded my passion for music by learning to play the clarinet in 4th grade and I have also mastered several other instruments over the years.  After graduating from college, I worked as a music teacher in Paterson, NJ.

Aside from being a musician and teacher, I have several other interests! My boyfriend and I own a beautiful home in the woods where we love to cook, bake, garden, play games, and hike together with our dog Lillie.  I also LOVE to do crafts and paint.

This school year I hope to spread my love of music with all of you.  Music helps build communities and brings people closer together.  We will explore all different styles of music, instruments, music notation, as well as composers and musicians!  I am always open to exploring new ideas and listening to new music.  I encourage ALL of YOU to always share your favorite songs, artists, and composers with me throughout the year.  If you find a new song that you’re listening to on repeat, let me know!

Musically,

Ms. L Wormald♥
