Hello and welcome to 6th grade science at Jordan Road. I am Mr. Thompson and I will be your child's 6th grade math and science teacher. I am looking forward to a fun and exciting year and hope that we can work together to ensure a positive and productive school year. This year in science your child will be focusing on five main units: 1. Growth, Development, and Reproduction in Organisms 2. Matter and Energy in Organisms and Ecosystems. 3. Types of Interactions 4. Astronomy 5. Weather and Climate, along with the science fair. In math the main units will be: 1. Expressions and Equations 2. Decimals and Fractions 3. Ratio Reasoning 4.
