Mrs. Michelle Baltz
Professional: I have been teaching since 1998. I taught third grade basic skills and coached cheerleading in Lumberton, NJ for one year. I taught second and third grade for nine years and was a Reading Specialist for one year in Pine Hill, NJ. In 2008, I came to Somers Point as the District Reading Specialist. In 2014, I became a first grade teacher. I absolutely love first grade! First grade is such a rewarding grade to teach because the children are so much fun to work with and demonstrate such visible growth through the year.
Personal: I grew up in Marlton, NJ and attended Cherokee High School. I received my Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education and Child Drama, and I received my Master's Degree in Reading Education and Reading Specialist Certification from Rowan University. I recieved my NJ Supervisor's Certificate from Rowan University. I married my college sweetheart, James Baltz, from Upper Township, NJ. We have two children, Jimmy and Katie. We also have three dogs and lots of fish keeping us busy. In my spare time, I love to read, visit the beach, ski, and spend time with family and friends.
