The "Catch-Up" Cafe" is now open for business. Prior to school, between the hours of 6:40 and 7:10, students have access to the Computer Lab in room 222. Here they can catch up any assignments they may have missed or have fallen behind on. I.E. there are NO EXCUSES for having a ZERO on any assignment. The NO EXCUSES also applies to seventh graders for they have a computer with them AT ALL TIMES.
A couple of REMINDERS as we gain understanding of expectations, grading...
1) I do not penalize for late work. BUT, when an assignment is due, and a student has not submitted it, a ZERO is put in PowerSchool until it is submitted
a) I run a "Missing Assignment" every week, verify it against Google Classroom, and adjust PowerSchool grades
2) Students should read the entirety of directions in order to receive the maximum amount of points for the assignment
3) Once an assignment is submitted, it is understood the student has checked, re-checked, verified, and corrected any errors...
a) With close to 150 students, it is not feasible to grade assignments twice.
** As the academic school year has been reduced by one week, many required activities and requirements have been accelerated and pushed up. Please be sure students are up to date on ALL their assignments so last minute emphasis does not impact final grades. **
