            Welcome to Our Class!!

I am Therese Keena. Everyone calls me Ms. Therese. I have been teaching for quite a while, 20 years, with a break in the middle to stay home with my youngest daughter. My teaching career started in Virginia, where I took a preschool position “just to get my foot in the door”, but it turns out that I love teaching preschoolers. I find it extremely rewarding to be a part of their growth and development.

On a more personal level, I live in Brigantine; am married to Brian Keena. I have 3 children, 2 daughter-in-laws, and 2 grandchildren (can you believe it? I can’t, since I am only 36, Haha). My youngest child attends Brigantine Community School. Her name is Marren (you will probably hear a lot about her this year). She is in 6th grade. I love the beach, reading, crocheting and I am learning to weave.

Now introducing Liz McKenna.  Ms. Liz is the paraprofessional in our room. She is my partner. She has worked as a paraprofessional at Brigantine Community School for 18 years. Ms. Liz has taught in many different grade levels but feels most at home with the littles. Ms. Liz has lived in Brigantine for 20+ years. Her husband’s name is Steve. She has 1 son, Patrick. Patrick is in the US Coast Guard. He is stationed in Virginia, so Ms. Liz only gets to see him every few months. Patrick is engaged so Ms. Liz will be gaining a daughter (officially) in the next year. Liz loves the beach, reading and spoiling all of us.
