Welcome to English Language Arts and Social Studies!
This class will be an academic adventure as we explore the world of reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar. If you have me for Social Studies, we will also be exploring tancient civilizations this year. In this class you will learn helpful reading strategies that will allow you to tackle challenging texts and gain confidence as a reader, while also strengthening your writing and grammar skills and building a sophisticated vocabulary. You will have opportunities in this class to work independently and in small groups, to think creatively, and to grow as a learner. I truly believe that hard work and a good attitude for learning will bring you great success in this class and beyond. I'm thrilled you're in my class this year!
