My name is Matthew Arroyo and I am entering my 21st year as an educator in New Jersey. I graduated from Passaic County Technical Institute before attending Bucknell University. After four wonderful years in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, I graduated with a B.A. in History and a certificate to teach social studies in grades 7-12 in NJ. A few years later, I attained a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree from the University of Saint Mary and completed thirty additional graduate credits in U.S. history from Loyola Marymount University.  In 2016, I also attained a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Montclair State University.

During my first eleven years of teaching, I taught social studies at a small public high school in Bergen County, NJ. I am very excited to start my tenth year at Kinnelon High School and look forward to helping the students progress in their skills and knowledge in history and government.
