Welcome to my homepage!

In my class we love to learn and use real life experiences to help us better

understand how we use science EVERYDAY!

We do use computers almost daily so having headsets/earbuds is

very important.

Please feel free to contact me at [email protected]

Click on the "Homework and Events" Tab to view our calendar for important dates such as: tests, projects, due dates and more.

Chapter vocab and notes will be recorded in the student's notebook, each new chapter will have a new title to make finding study material easier on you and your child. An example:

Vocab               Ch. 1 Earth's Features            8/24/2020

Notes               Ch. 1 Earth's Features            8/24/2020

Bell Ringers will be done daily and are recorded each week as a grade and are due Thursday/Friday @ 4 (incase we are out of school on a Friday).

Students work on these and they are reviewed in class daily before the lesson begins. For now they are located on Google classroom under science.

This week we will be starting a new lesson on rock formation and fossils! I find the kids really enjoy this unit. We will be spending several weeks on this unit.  I encourage the students to share their findings in class with their family. So to preview some of the things we will cover; here are some questions we will be answering over the next several weeks.

What are geologists?

How do sedimentary rocks form?

How do fossils form?

How do geologist learn what a place was like in the past?

How does rock get exposed?

Most work will be done in class, but occasionally a student may have to work at home to catch up. Most of student's work in science will be on the chromebooks or in their "Investigative Notebooks". These workbooks are a wonderful way for the students to play the role of scientist and record their "findings".
