 CLASSROOM PROCEDURES & EXPECTATIONS

 

 

 

Daily Classroom Procedures 

      * bell ringer posted to start each class -begin upon entry to class

      * DESMOS interactive online lessons

      * Edpuzzle / Kahoot! / Gimkit / Blookit . . . quizzes & activities

      * virtual worksheets / reviews / exams on EDULASTIC

      * supplemental work from ALL THINGS ALGEBRA & MATH NATION

 

Daily Classroom Expectations 

      * ID & dress code check upon entry

      * door closes when tardy bell rings

      * backpacks/purses on ground entirety of class  |  not on back ; not a pillow

      * cell phone & smart watches expected to place in pouches

      * if visible during class (hanging out of pocket or bag = warning to tuck away)

      * cell phone in hand or audible = ask to bring to me

      * hesitate / resist to turnover electronic device = trip to Mr. Hanks

           > applies to burner phones & unauthorized headphones also

      * earpods / headphones of any type are NOT to be in or on ears, or around neck at any time

      * chatter not tolerated unless participating in group activity

      * no laughing/joking at other students' answers (equal opportunity)

      * selfish & childish ways were left in Jr. High

      * control yourself from blurting out at any time, you will be called on to speak

      * restroom breaks are provided in between class periods, don't ask to go during class time

      * bottled water is the ONLY drink / food allowed

      * put away / throw away anything else before entering class

      * borrowed items sheet will be utilized for accountability to return items that I lend to students

      * classroom restroom is OFF LIMITS to students at any time

      * Minor Infraction Warning & Explanation

 

Daily Mandatory Supplies 

      * Chromebook laptop

      * textbook / packet

      * writing utensil  >  I will provide scratch paper when necessary

      * calculator (class set will be provided)

 

Make-up Work Policy 

      * make-up work / tests only for excused absences

      * not to be made up during class time

      * student's responsibility to meet with me to schedule make-up

      * # of excused days missed = # of days to make-up

      * absent day before test / work due = will take on test day

         (so long as no new material covered on absent day)

      * present when assigned, but absent when due = will be due upon return to class

      * all missed work will be scored a zero until made-up

         (will receive point deduction if turned in later than extension)

 

Dress Code 

      * hoods will not be worn on head

      * shoulders, arm pits, stomach covered at all times

      * all shoes must have backs  >  no flip flops, slippers, backless sandals/crocs

           > crocs must be in sport mode by the time you enter the room

      * clothing must not advertise liquor/tobacco products or offensive messages / language

      * no hats, caps, sunglasses, bandanas, or hair wraps

         (unless for religious / medical purposes which will be cleared through administration)
