My name is Natalie Carrozza and I am excited to be part of the South Harrison Elementary School team! I graduated from Rowan University in 2007 with a BA in Elementary Education, Children's Theatre, and a Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification. In 2012, I graduated with a MA in Reading, with a Reading Specialist concentration. My teacher research project Digging Deeper Into The Culture of Writing: Do Mentor Texts Inspire Male Students to Write? was published in Networks On-line Journal for Teacher Research in 2013.
I spent the last nine years of my career teaching Kindergarten in Pittsgrove Township School District. I worked as the inclusion Kindergarten teacher serving the needs of both general and special needs students. I served as head Kindergarten teacher, technology mentor, teacher mentor, and helped lead several professsional development opportunities.
Math has always been my passion. I love teaching students how to solve problems and understand math incorporating hands on learning experiences in the classroom. Math should be fun and interactive! I look forward to working with the staff and your children to help make math a positive learning experience!
