I am so happy to be your child's teacher this year and I know they are going to have the best year in 4th grade. You can access this website for information regarding homework, activities, and events.
Homework Information: Students will receive homework daily. All homework that is sent home with your child is material that will continue to support their learning of daily subject material in class. Students are required to read 20 minutes a night. A great way to help your child build comprehension is to read with them and ask them questions about what they have read. Students should also find time to practice their math facts. IXL is a great resource that they can access at home. Please check and initial your child's agenda book each night for their assigned homework and any notes sent home about their day.
Friday Folders: Your child will come home each Friday with their Friday Folder. In it, you will find school newsletters, flyers, assignments, checked homework and an AR and progress report that is to be signed each week. These forms are for you and your child's benefit regarding their AR progress, behavior, classwork and homework completion.
Quarterly Folders: Students will collect numerous assignments and test that we will keep in class to help in goal setting and keep track of data in the classroom. At the end of each quarter, students will be able to take these folders home so that parents and guardians can see their child's progress in class. Please do not keep these folders or their contents, as we continue to use these to see the growth we make throughout the year.
